CALISRAEL launched its endowment campaign at a special reception held at a private home in Los Altos Hills.
Supporters came from the Sacramento region, Berkeley, and around the South Bay to attend the event, where co-directors Joel Hass and Jay Rosenheim provided an overview of the program, its track record of success, and recent updates. This spring, the program will expand to Berkeley, with other campus expansions underway.
Consul General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest Marco Sermoneta also spoke at the event, expressing his enthusiastic support. Faculty from UC Davis and UC Berkeley participated. Distinguished guests included prominent members of the Jewish philanthropic community.
Guests enjoyed the musicianship of pianist Joshua Rosenheim, who drew on a broad repertoire from Baroque to contemporary.
